cupcakes, sushi and cocktails

Here are some pics from the surprise party Brian threw for Mark... Drinks with some of the ladies at my job before celebrating an old friend's birthday at Bamboo 52.

lucky squirrel

How'd he get up there???

I was fortunate enough to bear witness to Lucky the Squirrel this past Tuesday at the Yankees - Mariners game, where the winning Wang (a pleasant change of pace considering the last few games I've attended this season had Mussina on the mound) led the team to 12-3 victory.

Here's the Daily News' take on the li'l critter.

Even NY1 talked him up during its morning television news roundups!

que sabrosa!

Here are some pics from my Deepher sister Arlene's bridal shower/ bachelorette outing this weekend... Starting off at Havana Central near Columbia and ended up dancing over at Latin Quarter in midtown... It was fun hanging out with the lady's saucy crew -- makes for a lively evening and an interesting preview of the wedding which is slated for October in downtown Orlando!

City transit to commuters: Stay home!

It's never a dull day here in the City, is it now???

I woke up this morning, took a shower, made some coffee and turned on the telly to NY1 News -- per the usual drill. It was surprising to hear that all the trains were either suspended or severely delayed and even more surprising that it's because of morning rainstorm and tornadoes (what the fondue???!!!). Bay Ridge, Brooklyn got hit pretty badly. Living uptown in Harlem wasn't any easier. It seems like most folks in the office got in relatively around the same time between 10-11 a.m.
